Thriller 25 is a 25th Anniversary edition of Thriller by Michael Jackson, the world's best-selling album.. Thriller 25 was released on Sony BMG's re-issue division, Legacy Recordings; Legacy previously released Thriller Special Edition in 2001. Talking on Access Hollywood in late 2006, Jackson said that a "second chapter" for Thriller was a "great idea" which he would think about further and discuss with collaborator will.i.am. Jackson served as executive producer

Promotion There will be a global multimedia marketing scheme throughout 2008 promoting Thriller 25, with a new website, On February 12, Legacy Recordings launched "Thrillercast", a podcast series designed around the concept that 'everyone remembers the first time they heard Thriller.' Various musicians, celebrities, and cultural icons will be interviewed throughout the course of the series, which is expected to last throughout 2008. Thrillercast is available via Jackson's official website. Internationally, "The Girl Is Mine 2008" was released as a downloadable single on January 14 These are Jackson's first singles since "One More Chance" , in 2003.
Content Thriller 25 will come in both CD and vinyl format which contain seven bonus tracks
Thriller 25 package
The iTunes Music Store edition of the album, "Super Deluxe Edition", features the original tracks, the bonus tracks of the 2001 Special edition, "Billie Jean" (Underground Mix), and the Instrumental version of "Thriller". A second "Super Deluxe Edition" also includes the 12" Mix of Billie Jean (referred to as "Long Version"), the Videos for Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, and Billie Jean Live at Motown 25, and a digital booklet. All tracks/videos with the exception of Billie Jean Live at Motown 25 and the Digital booklet can be purchased separately.
Track listing Tracks 1-10 and 16 were produced by Quincy Jones, tracks 11-14 were by will.i.am and track 15 was by Kanye West. Tracks 1-9 are from Thriller, track 10 is from Thriller Special Edition and tracks 11-17 are new.
